About Mark Yarbrough

Dr. Mark M. Yarbrough began his tenure as the sixth president of Dallas Theological Seminary on July 1, 2020. Since joining DTS, he has served in numerous leadership and administrative capacities, bringing broad institutional experience and a deep commitment to the seminary’s mission. In addition to his presidential responsibilities, he continues to serve as Professor of Bible Exposition, where he remains actively engaged in teaching and developing students for ministry.

A seasoned pastor, educator, and communicator of Scripture, Dr. Yarbrough is committed to equipping students and believers with a deep and faithful understanding of God’s Word. His teaching emphasizes the unity and theological coherence of the Bible’s grand narrative, focusing on careful exposition, sound interpretation, and faithful application.

Dr. Yarbrough also teaches and ministers beyond the seminary through Story of Scripture, a ministry he founded at DTS. These live events combine engaging instruction, worship, and visual interaction to help people understand the Bible as one unified story of God's redemptive work. He leads biblical study tours to Israel, Egypt, and Greece, providing opportunities to explore the historical, cultural, and geographical contexts of Scripture.

He is the author of several books, including his newest novel, co-authored with Jerry B. Jenkins, The Battle for Heaven and Earth, as well as The Rekindled Heart: 6 Essentials for Reviving Your Faith, Jonah: Beyond the Tale of a Whale, and How to Read the Bible Like a Seminary Professor.

Dr. Yarbrough and his wife, Jennifer, are grateful for God’s continued faithfulness and count it a privilege to serve together in ministry.
